Our extrasolar planet activities stem from our interest in wide field
imaging, that triggered us to search for planets with the transit
method. Currently we are involved in the
RoPACS project,
searching for rocky planets around cool stars, the
PanPlanets project, search for planets with the 7 sq.deg. camera
at the Pan-STARRS1 telescope (read more
here), and the
OmegaTrans project, searching for planets with the OmegaCam camera
at the VST. Recently we discovered the candidate transit
planet POTS-C1. Through
the FP7, Europe-funded RoPACS
project we can support 2 PhD students and 1 PostDoc until 2012.
Find more about our photometric and spectroscopic searches and
follow-ups here.
